Alex joined the highly successful team at Sara Bay Marina with the goal of elevating the customer experience across all aspects of the operation, including sales, service, parts, storage, and yacht brokerage divisions. With a career in the boating industry that began in 2005, Alex has gained extensive experience in nearly every role the industry has to offer—from dockhand and crew member on a private yacht, to business office manager, yacht broker, and national sales project manager for two of the largest companies in the business.

His passion for the water goes beyond his professional career and extends into his personal life. Alex resides in Sarasota with his wife Hailey and their three children, where boating is a regular part of their weekends. In recognition of his exceptional leadership, Alex was recently named one of Boating Industry’s prestigious 40 Under 40, an award that honors rising stars from all segments of the recreational boating industry.

For the past five years, Alex has served as Sara Bay Marina's Director of Operations, where he continues to lead with dedication and vision.

Molly grew up in Essex, CT, a small boating community where she spent her summers working at Dauntless Marina as a launch operator and fuel dock attendant. Her love for the water and the boating industry developed at an early age, and it was clear this passion would shape her future career.

After high school, Molly attended Wittenberg University while continuing to work in the industry during the summers. One summer was spent in Nantucket at the Nantucket Boat Basin, further expanding her boating knowledge. After college, Molly moved to Boston, where she spent three years at the Boston Yacht Haven, refining her skills and experience in the boating world.

In 2006, Molly relocated to Florida in search of warmer weather and continued career opportunities in the boating industry. She worked for 14 years at Galati Yacht Sales before joining the Sara Bay team. With a deep passion for boating and many years of experience, Molly has transformed her childhood love for the water into a successful and fulfilling career. She is proud to contribute to an industry she's cherished since childhood.

Stratton, originally from a small town in upstate NY. Joined the USCG in December of 2006. While serving, Stratton spent his time serving as a specialized deployable security team, executing search and rescue missions, enforced maritime law, migrant interdictions and waterway management. Stratton separated from the Coast Guard in 2015 where he began to pursue his passion for the private yachting industry.

Initially, he took a job installing and servicing Sea Keeper gyro stabilizers where that emerged into private yacht management and eventually was led to Sara Bay Marina as a warranty service writer. Stratton’s diverse knowledge of boating expedited him to his current role of Service Manager.

Angela is a Florida native with a lifelong passion for the outdoors, having spent her adolescent years enjoying SCUBA diving, spearfishing, surfing, wakeboarding, and fishing. At 19, she relocated to the Anna Maria area and started working at a local marina in a dock position. Within six months, Angela was invited to join their service department, and since then, she has built a successful career in service and parts management, gaining valuable experience at three local dealerships and continually expanding her expertise.

Outside of her professional life, Angela is a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoys spending her weekends hunting in the woods, air boating on the river, or spending time on the water aboard their Key West.

Felipe is a dedicated professional, married with two children—a daughter, 10 years old, and a son, 5.

After graduating from Manatee Technical College in 2015, he began his career at Sara Bay later that year at just 19 years old. Starting in a yard/operations role, he quickly advanced, becoming certified to operate large forklifts.

In 2017, Felipe transitioned into a technician position and began attending Yamaha Technical Training to become a certified technician. Over the years, he steadily progressed in his career. In 2022, he was promoted to the role of shop foreman, overseeing daily operations and maintaining the highest standards of service.

His dedication paid off in 2023 when he achieved the Yamaha Outboard Master Technician Certification. The following year, he further expanded his expertise by earning his Mercury Outboard Certified Technician certification.

2024 marked his 9-year anniversary with Sara Bay, where he continues to grow and contribute to the success of the team.

Nick is a native of Sarasota who attended Sarasota High School. After graduation, he enrolled at Sarasota Technical College, where he completed classes from 2019 to 2020. Upon graduating from the Marine Mechanics program, Nick joined the service department at Sara Bay Marina in December of 2020. Nick’s strong work ethic and knowledge of boats make him an excellent technician.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending his free time riding 4x4s with friends, working on his ranch property in Avon, FL, and indulging in his passion for fishing and hunting.

Diego was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and moved to the States with his family at the age of 8. They settled in Bradenton, where Diego grew up and graduated from high school. Afterward, he enrolled in Manatee Technical College, where he began his career in the maritime service industry.

Upon graduating, Diego joined the team at Sara Bay Marina, where he now works as a technician in the service department.

Outside of work, Diego enjoys recreational boating, camping, riding his 4x4 with friends, and fishing. His passion for the outdoors and the water makes him a perfect fit for the marina.

Brian, a Sarasota native, has deep roots in the community and over 50 years of experience in the marine industry. For the past 20 years, he has been an integral part of the Sara Bay Marina team, where he serves as the Lead Forklift Operator.

Brian is dedicated to providing exceptional service to customers, working tirelessly to ensure the best experience every day. Known for his positive attitude and friendly spirit, Brian consistently goes above and beyond to support both the team and the marina’s valued clients. His hard work and commitment make him an essential part of the Sara Bay family.

Steve has been an integral part of the Sara Bay family for 17 years, serving as a dedicated forklift technician. Outside of work, he is happily married and the proud father of their puppy.

When he’s not busy at work, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, often out on the water aboard their Key West 239FS.

Frank was born in Scotland and moved to Upstate New York at the age of 8, settling near the picturesque Cayuga Lake. With a strong work ethic and a passion for hands-on trades, Frank spent over 20 years as a skilled steamfitter welder, specializing in nuclear plants.

His expertise in heavy machinery and systems led him to the boating industry, where he spent 8 years honing his craft. In 2019, Frank joined the Sara Bay Team as a Forklift Operator, where his experience, precision, and dedication have made him an invaluable part of the team.

Colleen grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and made the move to Florida 13 years ago, specifically seeking the sunny weather and a new adventure. She currently resides in Florida with her 10-year-old son, Reef. Colleen has been an integral part of our Parts Department for the past three years, where her dedication and hard work have made her an invaluable team member.

Before joining Sara Bay, Colleen had little knowledge of boating, but over time, she developed a true passion for the industry and all its facets. Her enthusiasm for learning and commitment to her role have made her a standout employee.

Whether it's answering questions, fulfilling parts requests, or offering expert advice, Colleen has built strong relationships with our customers and earned their trust.

Shaun grew up in Georgia and now calls Sarasota, Florida home, where he works at Sara Bay Marina. In his role, Sean is responsible for ensuring that the facility is always in top shape, with boats meticulously detailed and looking their best.

He plays a key part in new boat deliveries, making sure each boat is fully prepared for its new owner, complete with lines, fenders, and a special new boat delivery gift. He also ensures every customer enjoys a memorable red-carpet experience. Known for his dedication and work ethic, Shaun is always hard at work, rarely seen without his focus on the task at hand.
